Xuewei Liu is a postdoctoral researcher in Life Cycle Engineering at the Department of Green Technology, University of Southern Denmark (SDU). She holds a PhD and a BSc in Environmental Science and Engineering from Nanjing University, China. Her doctoral research focused on the phosphorus cycle and waste management. Currently, Xuewei is contributing to the TREASoURcE project, funded by the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. Her research encompasses the waste management of biowaste, plastics, and electric vehicle batteries, supported by a range of modeling approaches including Material Flow Analysis (MFA), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and spatial analysis. She has published her work in leading journals such as Environmental Science & Technology, Resources, Conservation and Recycling, and Applied Energy.
